Anti-racist Canine Education

We recommend starting our proprietary Anti-racist Canine Education as soon as you bring your puppy home. Dog’s have been bred throughout history using the similar methods – all of which re-enforce the systematic racism that we see – and fight against- in our society today. The faster we can ‘flip’ this switch in your dogs brain – to faster we can collectively set your dog on it’s path to match it’s owners anti-racist beliefs. Our studies have found that even if left in a perfectly loving, and anti-racist home environment – that work must be done IMMEDIATLY to shed the natural bred habits that are re-enforced at BOTH rescue shelters, and EXPECIALLY breeders. There is even hope if you got your puppy at a puppy mill.

Human Manual

To fully understand why your dog may be showing racism tendencies – such as barking at African-Americans or attacking BIPOC – you must understand your dogs history. The first manual educates the canine companion (we never use the M word, a word created by oppressors) about why dogs were bred to show racism, and outlines the history of canine breeding.

Puppy Anti-Racist Puppy Training – Shedding your Dog’s innate instincts

Anti-Racist Puppy Training is a 6-week beginning obedience chapter for puppies aged 12 weeks to 10 months. Using positive reinforcement, puppies will learn to shed the traits instilled upon them at birth – before even a well adjusted companion (we do not use the word master in this course, as it’s a pre-civil war reference to ownership of slaves) can right their puppies ways.

Tweener Anti-racist Training

This chapter is for the older puppies (starting the class at 13-20 weeks of age) and covers basic house manners like walking on a loose leash in front of a diverse audience, socialization amongst non-white communities, and finally, age appropriate play. Family members learn to develop a positive relationship with their dog, leadership skills and responsible dog ownership while actively engraining your dog with a positive, anti-racist outlook on life.

Adult Dog Anti-racist Training

This chapter is for adult dogs, age 3+. We focus on tendencies that may have been inherited from a previous owner and offer techniques and more detailed approaches to eliminate your dog’s discriminatory tendencies.

The Anti-racial ‘BEDROCK’

Every good construction project starts with the bedrock! Even before a foundation is built, solid rock is the key to the successful final project! In this chapter, dog and handler teams will develop the fundamental skills needed to build that bedrock. These skills include handler focus, impulse control, body awareness, shaping behaviors, targeting and more!
